My team hosts a variety of in-person, online, and hybrid events, and we're always looking for ways to keep attendees engaged. Slido is one of the tools we've used to create opportunities for interactivity at our events. We've used a variety of interactions, including word cloud, polls, and Q&A, and attendees seem to really enjoy using Slido at our events.
  • Word clouds to get an idea of what attendees are thinking
  • Polls to get people voting and interacting
  • Easy to use for both event hosts and attendees
  • Slido's UI is easy, but it could be more polished/beautiful
  • More seamless integration with Google Slides
For teams who host events, I think Slido is a great tool to have in the toolbox. I've used it exclusively for customer-facing events, and it is very easy for attendees to understand, use, and interact with. We also use it for internal events like all-hands, and it works well in those cases as well.

We use Slido for conducting online polls during business events and meetings. It is very intuitive and it is not necessary to download the app. We use it for voting. We take benefit from its question and answer feature also. We use Slido for our company's internal requirements only. Slido also provides its live chat support that will guide you to solve any problem you face while it's used. It can be integrated with Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides. It is really useful to take live questions and polls while you present.
  • Live polls are great.
  • Slido code to ask any question during the event.
  • I love that it has dark mode as well.
  • I didn't understand on what basis text is bigger or smaller in the word cloud. That's confusing for me. Maybe Slido can think about it.
Our every business event will be half done without Slido. We use it so much. In every meeting, training, event, we use Slido. You can see how people react with polls, word cloud, etc. what exactly people want to tell. It's so transparent.

Slido is THE engagement platform for my needs! Every training and presentation I provide comes with a Slido quiz, Q&A and feedback survey and it simply works!
  • Quiz
  • Live polls
  • Feedback survey
  • Q&A
  • World Cloud
  • No video format support
  • Usage of images is limited
  • Lag (not often though)
If you are in need of a tool for participant engagement, Slido is for you! If you need to provide a quiz with a leaderboard for online training or preso, Slido is for you! If you need to gather feedback, Slido is for you!

So we have conference calls which generally people are doing other stuff and being bored and stuff. So one of the things they'll do is have a survey at the beginning. It can be as simple as What's your favorite color? Or it could be as complicated as work-related IT stuff. And that keeps everybody engaged, especially if there are prizes and you do it throughout the conference to kind of keep people engaged as well as a little bit of an entertainment factor.
  • It just works. You put up a survey, you put in what you wanted to say in multiple-choice or enter your own free type. And it just works. It's easy to get the results back instantaneously, as well as providing some visualization, pie charts, graphs, that kind of thing, and see what's in the lead. It could be as simple as picking what kind of food for the next company, pizza or tacos or whatever, and it kind of rates them and it just works. That's what's intended.
  • I think maybe visually to have different skins for it, just to kind of add some additional flare company logo, you know, something that would make it more customized for your organization. Or even just stylizing, like if it's a Cinco de Mayo party, you a Mexican theme, stuff like that I think would be nice. But that's all just flare, functionality wise it's flawless.
I think if you were to have too many on a particular call, three is the magic number. If you have three you're gonna maintain that engagement. But I think if you were to just overuse it or use it for everything, like every single meeting there's gonna be like 10 polls. I think overuse would be kind of a negative. But like I said, for team meetings and just a quick survey, it's anonymous too if you want it to be, so that's helpful. But for surveys, it's top-notch.

I use the basic version of Sli.do in almost all of ma facilitation workshop.
Sometimes simply to get some comments on the workshop.
Sometimes as a survey tool .
I also use the Word cloud regularly to summarize an event.
A new application is to use the Q&A function during codevelopment workshop.

  • Very easy to set up
  • The integrated QR code generator is awesome
  • Very easy to understand for users
  • Several options to share the links ( hyperlink, QR code, full slide etc)
  • Very easy to integrate in a ppt
  • Possibility to have longer comment in the Q&A function
  • Limited export function in the basic version
The more I use it the more I discover special applications.
E.g. In codeveopment sessions , there is a step when participants must write questions on a notepad and then share questions as a group. Using the Q&A function in Sli.do we can all interact and vote for questions that were already written. This saves a lot of time compiling !!

We use this at all teams meetings, town halls, and company briefings to quickly gather questions. It serves both anonymous and named questions which aids employee confidence in participation. We’ve also regularly used the vote and weird cloud functions to provide more engagement in all of the previously named meetings.
  • Collaboration
  • Q&A
  • is a little basic
  • archiving Of answers for later sharing
  • Desktop integration
Enabling private Q&A with total anonymity.

We use Slido to increase engagement and participation in meetings. Specifically, we use this in every company-wide All Hands meeting, and also in many other larger group meetings. Especially when they are more than a handful of meeting attendees via Zoom, it's easy for people to check out, and we find that Slido helps to keep people involved!
  • In-meeting polling
  • In-meeting Q&A
  • In-meeting engagement
  • I miss the Slack integration; they used to have this and they deprecated it in the last year or so.
  • I believe they have a nice integration for PowerPoint, would be nice if they had something similar with google slides since that is what we typically use internally.
  • We use the word cloud feature often and sometimes answers seem to get lost (as in don't show up at all) on the screen. for example, an answer will be there, then as more answers come in it disappears, and when we get to a certain threshold of answers it somehow pops back up again. It's not the worst but sometimes someone will ping me that their submission didn't make the word cloud and they're bummed.
Slido is great to use for live meetings, whether in person or via video conference; we mostly use this for Zoom meetings. You can use the different features at different times in your meeting: I love to start our All Hands meetings with a word cloud or a poll of some kind, and as people are joining via zoom it gets people feeling excited and connected even before we've started. It also gives us something fun to talk about while we're waiting for everyone to arrive and for the meeting to start. You can do a poll halfway through to keep people engaged, and then a poll at the end to see how you did, or maybe use the Q&A to see what questions come up without having the awkward zoom silence when you ask if anyone has any questions. I don't think this is helpful in smaller meetings, where people likely feel more comfortable interacting directly and asking questions verbally.

I've been using Slido inside my Webex meetings to get attendee feedback or help guide the conversations. But I also used it outside of meetings to gather information from stakeholders for decisions and the direction we need to take. It's been really helpful to get personal feedback since people can choose to answer anonymously or with their names. That way if the information is a critique people can answer more freely. As a Side note, used it for some family events as well. The kids didn't think it was all that interesting until the answers started populating dynamically and they could see their votes counted just like all the rest.
  • gives immediate interactive feedback inside meetings
  • has great downloadable analytics as well as online graphical reports
  • works easily on mobile inside a Webex or independent of a meeting or using Microsoft Teams or Zoom
  • I'd like the QR code to be scanned from INSIDE the app. Why only be able to enter the code? Let us use the camera inside the app to scan and launch Slido
  • a few more fun graphics
You can create and save loadable engagement templates so if you have sales meetings where you ask the same kinds of questions of the attendees, just make it a Slido and load that right from your Webex instance. It's free, why not use it and get people engaged?

Q&A made easy

We were looking for a simple platform for Question and Answer time in our organizations staff meetings.
Slido provided that and has allowed us to moderate and reply easily. The choice of QR code or the event hash tag to connect means 99.9% of people can use it with no trouble at all as most people are familiar with both concepts.
The fact that people can ask questions anonymously is another big plus for the environment we use Slido in.
  • Scheduling events easily
  • QR codes
  • Very stable
  • Post event analytics
  • Webex integration can be a little slow at times
  • Changing between Slido sessions in Webex on the side ribbon can be confusing
We found Slido is great for a number of uses in our organization. In the higher education environment people are often scared to ask questions because they don't want to look or sound silly. Giving people the ability to ask anonymously gets the dialogue flowing pretty quickly most of the time. We have found it useful in the classroom environment but also for professional staff in meetings.

We use Slido within Webex to increase our audience participation, and keep our meetings lively! Here at Lee Health, we are always pitching Slido to fellow Webex users to incorporate into their meetings. Slido seamlessly allows us to have live polls, Q&A, word clouds, etc to keep put attendees active.
  • interactive
  • user friendly
  • does not always seamlessly work in Webex
In our Webex training sessions, we incorporate Slido to help keep the sessions lively and interactive for attendees.

We use Slido in our team meetings, first to find out how everyone is feeling but also so that we comment on the strategies that are being discussed. It is a fast and efficient way to get the opinion of others. Love it!
  • Create Cloud words
  • Vote for something
  • Share opinions
  • reporting... might be good to create custom resports base of the data used and the attendees
APPROPIATE - At meetings where you want to "hear" from the team and to might be a big group so not all will have the opportunity to talk - When you want to take a fast decision on something simple (black or white) and allow the people to vote LESS APPROPIATE - if you want that people participate actively (talking not just sending their comment)

Get attention with Slido

Slido is used to engage meeting participants, capture feedback, ice breakers, quizzes, and generally keep the audience interested and paying attention. It's helpful to gather information before meetings that can be used to prepare meeting content. We can gather post meeting analytics and reports for follow up with meeting participants.
  • Polling
  • Testing
  • Word clouds
  • Ease of use as integrated app within Webex Meetings
  • Allow for co-host of meeting launch and manage Slido polls
Slido is well suited for any types of meetings, events, trainings, team meetings, etc. Any instances where you need audience interaction would be the best example. It probably would be less used in more formal business meetings.

I am using Slido to get feedback from users on how meetings or training sessions have been delivered, to act as CSAT information. I am also demoing Slido to clients to share with them the recent Webex updates and integration with Slido. It adds another layer of interaction to a meeting and can be a useful tool to collate more information from meeting participants.
  • Gathering responses from a large number of participants at one time
  • Collating results in an easy-to-read format
  • Easy to access
  • Having multiple people be able to manage Slido during a meeting
Slido is ideal to use in meetings where you want to gather opinions and feedback in the form of surveys. With multiple options for how to pose the questions in the survey, you can find the right format to match the question you are asking, whether it be multiple choice or word clouds. With the rating format, you get ratings at the end of a training session, then you can use those results to create a CSAT.

I use Slido at my classes and there are other some colleagues who are using it. I usually use it as an ice-breaker and also to get my students engaged. It is helpful when I use it to ask about the initial knowledge of the audience about the topic I am covering as it gives me an idea to which extent the audience is familiar with the topic so I can adjust my pace of facilitation.
  • Multiple choice questions are very helpful and audiences like it.
  • When I use open text polls and convert them into a word cloud.
  • Very simple and user-friendly, it even supports Arabic language.
  • Technically, I do not see an area that requires attention.
  • I wish they'd increase the number of free polls or reduce the fees.
It is always useful to start the lecture with and ask the audience about their knowledge or some topic. I think it fits in all times and scenarios.
